Favorite Locations Near Bellingham
Do you have a favorite park, restaurant, coffee shop, beach that is special to you? Yes? Let’s go there! If you’re feeling stuck on where we should take pictures, here is a list of my all time favorites to help us decide!
Woodstock Farm
Woodstock has tall, golden grass, a stunning view of Bellingham Bay, and short trails with woodsy trees. Not only is this location versatile, but is absolutely GORGEOUS during golden hour. 10/10. To top it off, in late June, a big field of daisies bloom.
2. Larrabee State Park
Located just down the road from Woodstock is Larrabee State Park, this location has beach access, short woodsy trails, and really neat sandstone rock formations. This is my favorite place to watch the sunset. You’ll need a discover pass to park here, but if you’re looking for something woodsy + beachy, this is the spot!
3. Rosario Beach
Rosario is about an hour away from Bellingham, but absolutely worth the drive. It’s right before Deception Pass. There’s beach access, a cute little dock, & lush trails that lead you to the most stunning & surreal views of the Sound. With golden grass, a clear view of the sun dipping below the horizon, and beautiful trees, how could you not fall in love with this place? Magic will always be made here.
4. Picture Lake, Mount Baker
About an hour and a half from Bellingham is Picture Lake. The drive is relatively easy, and the trail itself is so short and easily accessible. This location is covered in snow from late fall to early summer, so the best time to go is anytime between June-October. However, if snowy mountain photos are what you’re dreaming about, we can still go before June!
Christianson’s Nursery, Mount Vernon
This is THE prettiest, most whimsical greenhouse & nursery I have ever been to. This is a great spot to go to when it’s rainy, cold out, & even when it’s spring and sunny. The light inside is always soft and even and SO DREAMY.
