Let’s start planning your session!

Capturing your story accurately is important to me. My hope is that you will look back on these photos & relive this time of your lives forever. The more of YOU we can include in your session, the better. Here are a few ideas to think about as you begin brainstorming your session.

When you imagine your photos, where are we?

  • In woodsy trails

  • Frolicking through fields

  • Walking the beach

  • Somewhere with breathtaking views

  • Wandering around the city

Are there any sentimental locations we could go to?

  • Where was your first date? What does a typical date night look like? 

  • Is there a special beach you like to watch the sunset at? 

  • Is there a trail you always walk your dog on? 

  • Do you two have a favorite restaurant? 

  • What are your favorite places to go together? Target? Antique stores?

  • Other ideas?

Dress like you’re going on a date

  • Wear something you are comfortable and confident in!

  • What colors are present in the location you selected? Can you incorporate those?

  • You can bring a casual & a fancier outfit, or you can just stick to one outfit! Up to you!

include your favorite things

What do you two love to do together? Could we incorporate that in your photos?

  • Pack snacks for a picnic

  • Go to your favorite restaurant to get a snack or a drink

  • Get a coffee 

  • Wander around a bookstore if you love to read

  • Bring your guitar (or other intruments)

  • Write poetry

  • Paint or do crafts 

  • Bring your pets (we can start at home to take photos of your pets first if you’re close to your location!)

  • Incorporate your vehicle (car, motorcycle, van, etc). 

  • Bring other special items (Polaroid or film camera, pride flag, bourbon + special glasses, etc.)
