How to Find Wedding Vendors in Skagit County: Wisteria Gardens 2025 wedding show
If you are planning your wedding, take a deep breath and remember how exciting and special this season of your life is. You are marrying your person. I know you are most likely feeling overwhelmed with planning and that is so understandable. It’s hard to know where to start. I recently was a vendor at the Wisteria Gardens Wedding show in Anacortes and want to walk you through the experience virtually! Wedding shows are how I have met some of my very favorite local wedding vendors & I would love to introduce you to all of them in this blog post. If you are planning your wedding in Whatcom, Skagit, or Island County — this post is for you!
Here I am standing behind my booth at Wisteria Gardens! My sweet friend Caylie stopped by to say hi and snapped this photo of me on my camera!
What is a wedding show?
A wedding show is an event where engaged couples come to meet potential wedding vendors. Each vendor will have a booth set up with information, examples of their work, and sometimes an interactive element (makeup demos, yummy food to try, etc.)! Sometimes these shows or open houses are held at venues, so if there’s a venue you’re hoping to book, look to see if they’re hosting anything! Wedding shows typically happen January-March. When you first begin your wedding planning, it might be difficult to know where to start. So instead of aimlessly scrolling on Instagram, Google, or Pinterest, you can attend a show to find inspiration in person. Tickets are usually pretty affordable and the two I’ve done have both handed out goodie bags with fun items from all the vendors!
Why it’s important to pick vendors you love
Your love & your wedding is important. You and your partner deserve to be celebrated and treated with so much care. I am passionate about making every step in your wedding planning process a special experience, and my dream is that your other vendors will do the same. On your wedding day, you will feel more at ease knowing you can trust your vendors with your vision. Coming to meet everyone in person at a wedding show is a great way to know instantly the type of vendor you want & vibe with. Whether you attend a show or not, I highly recommend meeting or video calling potential vendors, reading reviews, and spending some time on their website to make sure they’re the perfect fit for you! You’re a big deal & your vendors should make you feel that way!!

Venue: Wisteria Gardens in Anacortes Washington
Wisteria Gardens is a beautiful wedding and event venue in Anacortes, Washington — only 45 minutes from Bellingham! The property is stunning. If you’re a fan of flowers & animals like I am, I think you’ll love this venue, too! There’s a large trellis of wisteria that is a great backdrop for photos, the silliest & friendliest cows you’ll ever meet, and a beautiful & open indoor event space. The garage door in the red building lets so much natural light in! I had so much fun watching couples walk into the venue & be greeted by the owner, Heather. Many of her couples stopped by to check out the wedding show and it was so sweet to see her excitedly hug them. Heather is so warm and welcoming & makes me love this venue even more!
Wedding Show Raffle winner!
Heather and Maliah from Mastered Moments hosted this event (pictured on the right) and came up with the idea to have a $400 grand prize for one of our lucky guests who attended the show! Each vendor handed out tickets at the end of the show, we put all our tickets into one big box!
Wedding Planner: Mastered Moments
Maliah put so much time and energy into planning this event for us, and I’m so grateful! She’s so sweet and puts so much of herself into everything she does. She planned the styled shoot I did here in May & was so detailed. She connected with SO many vendors for that shoot and there were so many moving parts that would have overwhelmed me. But she made it feel so easy for all of us involved, and this show was the same way. All I had to worry about was just showing up & Maliah handled the rest!
The first 50 guests who signed up to attend this show received a goodie bag stuffed with items from vendors. I included a scrapbook kit! A little book, photo corners, and some stickers!
Rentals: Skagit Valley Wedding Rentals
These two were SO sweet and welcoming and had some really thoughtful and long conversations with couples who came to their booth. It was obvious to me how much they care about their couples and they were so approachable with their big smiles and kind demeanor!!
Catering: Island Girls Catering
Carol from Island Girls Catering is so kind! They had so many yummy treats for couples to taste and were circling the room with little chicken cordon bleu bites & bruschetta. Their lemon cookies were my personal favorite!
HMUA: Skagit Bridal Hair & Makeup
Joey’s enthusiasm and energy is unmatched. She’s funny & silly & so passionate about what she does! She brought some lashes with her to put on guests if they wanted some, little lipglosses, and also did a full makeup demo on Amanda from Mount Baker Blooms. It was so fun to watch her do her thing! We’ve worked together so many times over the last few years & it’s always such a delight to be with her again!
HMUA: Hair by Mathea
Mathea (Ma-tee-uh) is so calm & easy to talk to. I loved looking over at her booth and seeing all the disco ball items. She’s all about keeping the vibes fun & happy! Her website says that she strives “to take care of every detail for your dream look on your big day. You deserve to be pampered” which connects back to what I was saying earlier about picking vendors who adore you & want to celebrate you!
Florist: Hart’s Floral
Fun Fact:
When I was still teaching, my mom researched local flower shops and found Hart’s Floral! She had this beautiful arrangement delivered to the high school I worked at for my birthday! The plants are still thriving! Super thoughtful gift idea 💛 So even if you already have a florist, they’re worth looking into!
Florist: Mount Baker Blooms
Flowers to-go
Amanda from Mount Baker Blooms sent me home with flowers from her booth on the last day of the wedding show. So sweet!! Amanda & I met at the Bellingham Wedding Show in 2024 and planned a styled shoot together last summer. She is just the sweetest! She recently took over at Melody’s Flowers in Burlington, so if you’re ever in the area, you should stop by and say hi!
DJ, Emcee, Vocalist: Janie Lee Kelley
Janie and her husband Nate kept the vibes fun all day! They set up lights all around the venue at different vendor’s booths, introduced all the vendors as new guests arrived, and I was so surprised to turn around and see Janie singing for us! They are so talented, kind, and lovely. You can just tell they love what they do! I would love to work with them in the future!
Beverage Catering: Beverages by Boel
I didn’t get a chance to take any photos of her booth, but Boel had coffee, hot chocolate, and tea set up for us! She was so smiley and happy the entire day! She had a champagne tower set up and some beautiful signage. She’d bring all the positive vibes to your wedding & I am so happy I got to meet her!!
Video: Hands on Films
I stood across the way from where Aaron’s booth was and he had his iMac playing his wedding films and WOW - I felt like I was watching a movie. He is so kind and easy to chat with, and his approach to weddings is laidback & fun to make sure your most important moments are captured in real & authentic ways. Fun fact: he’s filming the venue owner’s daughter’s wedding at Wisteria this spring!
Behind the Scenes Clips
My sweet best friend, Caylie Mash Photography, took these great video clips on her phone when she stopped by to say hi!
Fun at the Pickle Jar Photo Camper — Wisteria’s newest addition!!
Lacey from LNW PNW Photos being all cute in her red coat ❤️ We met at the Bellingham Wedding Show last year and has become one of my closest friends! Just goes to show you can find your people at wedding shows!!!
